Lead Pastor
Daniel K. Heini – Dan spent six years serving a small congregation in the thumb of Michigan. Prior to that, he served for three years at a suburban church in Oakland County, MI. Dan attend the Coppage Gordon School for Ministry. He also holds a degree in Economics and an EDS in Educational Leadership. He spent 42 years as a professor of Economics and has a financial advisory practice, which includes Tax Preparation, Investment Sales/Management and Insurances. Dan and his wife, Cari, recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. They have three grown children and recently welcomed their first grandchild. He authored the following books: Consider the American Family (I, II & III), Teaching for the Love of It, The 20th Century Man, Trapped in the 21st Century, Dusty, Economics for the 21st Century, Answering the Call, Even a Rabbit. Dan starts on September 1, 2026. He looks forward to meeting the congregation and creating new friendships with you all.
Secretary/Office Manager/Deaconess in Training
Christine Elliott – Christine and her family have been members of Blackhawk Bethlehem Church since 2010. She has served as a Sunday School teacher, the Sunday School Superintendent, a member of the Worship, Ministry & Missions Committee and the Social Media Director over the years. She came onto the staff in July of 2024 as the Secretary/Office Manager. In January of 2026 she started Theological training to become an Ordained Deaconess to serve the congregation. She currently delivers monthly services at Greenway Manor, Maplewood and The Pines nursing homes. She also does home visits and hospital visits to those in need.
